The Employer Engagement Mosaic was developed over a year-long action research project and offers college higher education staff, students and their employers or work placements to not only showcase scholarship that is occurring in employer engagement, but demonstrates that good quality employer engagement enhances the student experience and promotes employability. This tool uses Boyer’s four Models of Scholarship (1990) and other relevant indicators to determine whether the engagement that staff and students have with employers has a scholarly profile. This can be achieved through a cross-discipline, cross-faculty four stage process.
